The Spiritual Man-Watchman Nee-Salvation(Part 1)

Salvation( Part 1)

The Spiritual Man-Watchman Nee Pg 59 - Permission To Share Info
Death entered the world through the fall of man. Reference here is to spiritual death which separates man from God. Through sin, it came in the beginning and so has it ever come since then. Death always comes through sin. Note what Romans 5.12 tells us about this matter. First, that sin came into the world through one man. Adam sinned and introduced sin into the world. Second, that death (came into the world) through sin. Death is sin s unchanging result. And lastly, that, therefore, death spread to all men because all men sinned. Not merely has death spread to or passed upon (Darby) all men, but literally to all men the death did pass through (Young's). Death has permeated the spirit, soul, and body of all men; there is no part of a human being into which it has not found its way. It is therefore imperative that man receive God s life. The way of salvation cannot be in human reform, for death is irreparable. Sin must be judged before there can be rescue out of death. Exactly this is what has been provided by the salvation of the Lord Jesus.

The man who sins must die. This is announced in the Bible. No animal nor angel can suffer the penalty of sin in man's stead. It is man's triune nature which sins, therefore it is man who must die. Only humanity can atone for humanity. But because sin is in his humanity, man s own death cannot atone for his sin. The Lord Jesus came and took human nature upon himself in order that He might be judged instead of humanity. Untainted by sin, His holy human nature could therefore through death atone for sinful humanity. He died a substitute, suffered all penalty of sin, and offered his life a ransom for many. Consequently, whoever believes on Him shall be judged no more (John 5.24).

How To Succeed In The Christian Life (Spirituality 101) For New Converts

Charles Finney in his book "How To Succeed In The Christian Life" discusses the dynamics of success in the Christian life. He states "There are two classes of people who start out in the Christian life: those who make a complete or partial failure of it and those who make a complete success of it:" He shares the following seven steps of biblical paths to success as a Christian.

1. BEGIN RIGHT
Receive Christ, take Him as your Savior who died for you. It is in this first step that many make a mistake. They try to mix in their good works as a ground of salvation. They think if they are good God will forgive them because of Christ's death and their goodness.

2.CONFESS CHRIST OPENLY BEFORE MEN
The life of confession is the life of full salvation.(Matthew 10:32, Romans 10:10.)It is when we confess Christ before men that He confesses us before "My Father in Heaven" and that the fullness of His blessing comes.

3.STUDY THE WORD
The Word of God is the soul's food(spiritual food). It is the nourishment of the new life. (1 Peter 2:2)One who neglects the Word cannot make much of a success of the Christian life. All who get on in the Christian life are great feeders on the Word of God. Here many fail. Ask any backslider, "Have you fed on the Word daily?" I never have found one that could say that he had.

4.PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
The one who would succeed in the Christian life must lead a life of prayer.(1 Thess.5:17).The rule of David and Daniel, three times a day, is a good rule.

5.GO TO WORK FOR CHRIST
Those who use what they have will get more, and those who let what they have lie idle will lose even that.(Matt.25:29)

6.GIVE LARGELY
"The liberal soul shall be made fat"(Prov.11:25), He which soweth sparingly; shall reap also sparingly...(2 Corinth. 9:6,8.)

7.KEEP PUSHING ON
Forget that which lies behind; press onto the better things that lie before.(Phill.3:13,14)

How To Grow Spiritually As A Christian

Importance Of Spiritual Growth
As a Christian, you must strive to grow spiritually, by God's power alone(The Holy Spirit).Christianity minus spiritual growth equals to failure in life. Therefore when you don't pay attention to your spiritual growth you will not be able to attain God's plans and purposes and perfect will for your life. Spiritual growth is only made possible by the Holy Spirit and not by your strength, power or intellect.(1 Samuel 2:9, Zechariah 4:6).

If you desire to grow as a Christian know these things
1.Go to God in prayer which is the master key into God's will for your life.Without prayer, you will never be able to communicate with God.Take every opportunity to pray and commune with God. Charles Usher in his book, "The Prayer Life" states in page 2 the following precepts."The old nature is one of the greatest hindrances to prayer; and until it is brought to the place of death, it will continue to exercise a deadening influence.Prayer is the pulse of the Christian life. You can tell the state of your spiritual health by your prayer life-not by your knowledge of divine things, not even by the amount of Christian work you do; for while you may be very busily engaged in work, you may be very sick spiritually. Prayer is to the spiritual man what breathing is to the natural man.The spiritual man can no more exist without prayer than the natural man without breathing. It is through prayer that he takes in and gives out the life of God."

2.Read study and meditate on the Bible daily, and consistently. The Word of God is your spiritual food as a Christian without which you will be spiritually impoverished and subsequently lose your covenant birthright in God.(1 Peter 2:2)

3.Obey God at every given moment. He will talk to you through his Word and many other ways that you will learn about in your walk with Him.(Isaiah 1:19)

4.Witness for Christ in your Christian walk.(Matthew 4:19)Speak to others about the love of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, who alone has the power to convict people of sin.Your life, your speech, actions, and behavior must also witness to people about Christ.

5.Trust God for every detail of your life.Cast all your cares upon Him because He loves you and cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7).Look for the best of God and let God be God and let things work out through Him.

6."Holy Spirit Influence" should be allowed to influence your life and not the lusts of your flesh and the pride of life. When you walk in the power of the Holy Spirit at all times you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.(Galatians 5:17-24)Walking with the Holy Spirit is not stupidity, but it is the divine wisdom that will always end up in paths of blessings and honor for you. On the contrary walking in the flesh will always be contrary to God. Dear friend, let the Holy Spirit back you up and be your guide, always.

New Lifestyle In Christ

Some new believers in Jesus Christ are ignorant of some basic lifestyle changes that must take place after they believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Old carnal natures if not crucified can still bind a believer to the kingdom of darkness. These old lifestyles may build strongholds in the believer’s life and become doorways into satanic activities and further captivity.(2 Corinthians 10:3-6)Therefore it is necessary to change life patterns and habits in order to enter into the fullness of life in Christ.

Three principal ways to maintain a new believer lifestyle

  • The Word of God: Read, study, meditate, act upon God's Word diligently, continuously and consistently.(Hebrews 4:12) Stay on the Word, no matter what until you get results.
  • Prayer: Communicate with God on a consistent basis through prayer and worship. "Pray without ceasing"(1 Thessalonians 5:17)Keep your prayer power on. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.

  •  Be spiritually minded by the Word and Prayer
  • a.Keep your thoughts aon the Lord Jesus Christ.(Romans 8:6)b.Keep your mind bathed in the Word of God and the precious blood of Jesus through prayer. Be blessed, my friend.

Praying in the Holy Ghost

After you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, you will begin to speak in unknown tongues as the Holy Ghost gives you utterance. Praying in the Holy Ghost or in tongues simply means praying according to the perfect will of God. It is the spiritual prayer language of the believer in Christ. Welcome to this life-changing spiritual experience

How to pray in the Holy Ghost
1.Believe in the power of God in praying in the Holy Ghost.
2.Pray to God for help to receive.
3.Believe and be confident that you have received.
4.Relax, speak, without fear, every sound that He gives you to speak. He will not force you. He will only give you the utterance, but you must do the speaking.
5.Speak out until a free clear language comes of your mouth and you have an inner assurance that you have received power from Him(the Holy Spirit).
6.Your mind must not be allowed to wander aimlessly as you pray in the Holy Spirit. It must be trained to be in subjection to the Holy Spirit. It must be controlled and not allowed to go its own way.You must keep God’s word in your spirit by studying and meditating on it.
7.You must actively engage your spirit in what you are praying about, don’t be distracted. Keep a notepad with you and write down every distracting thought that you need to take care of as you pray and deal with it only when you have finished praying.
8.You must actively concentrate upon spiritual thoughts. For without the active, intelligent cooperation of the spirit, it has no means of expressing itself and thus is bound. (Charles Usher, The Prayer life, 1975). Endnote.

Benefits of praying in tongues
1.The more you pray in the Holy Ghost, the more you increase in spiritual discernment and edification and the more you are able to clearly hear the voice of God (with your spiritual ears.)
2.God helps you pray as you should, and for what you should pray for according to His will so that your prayers can become fruitful. There is no point praying fruitless prayers.
(Romans 8: 26-27)
3.This type of prayer comes from your spirit instead of your mind or intellect, therefore, you are able to pray the perfect will of God over any situation.
4.This is the most powerful of all prayers because it is praying in our most holy faith (Jude 20)
Be blessed, my friend.

Benefits Of Intimacy With The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God personified, living on the inside(the spirit) of every born again person, therefore intimacy with Him is absolutely necessary for living a dynamic supernatural life. When one is close or intimate with a person he reveals secrets to him. This is the same way God reveals His secrets to a believer if he is close to Him.(James 4:8)As one remains close to Him the Holy Spirit executes "the Anointing" (God's power, God's enablement for service) on the believer to help him serve God effectively. He helps the believer live the supernatural life of Christ on the earth. Without Him life will be a struggle and a weight.(Job 32:8)He reveals God to the believer and shows him His secrets(Psalm 25:14)He helps the believer to have victory over all human failures and fulfill his divine destiny.
Be blessed my friend.

Baptism In The Holy Spirit

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a facilitator of power in the Kingdom of God. It gives the believer spiritual energy and power to run the Christian race on the earth. If you have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit, seek God about it, pray for it in faith today, and he will answer your prayer. It is very essential to be baptized in the Holy Spirit as soon as you are saved. I believe that if it were not necessary Paul would not have asked certain disciples if they had received the Holy Spirit since they believed.(Acts 19:2)When they replied him that they did not even know that there was any Holy Spirit he taught them about the baptism of Jesus and they became baptized with power and began to speak with tongues and prophesied! (Acts 19:5&6)You must have faith in God to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Anyone who is saved is ready to receive. There is no need to wait. You can receive Him with or without the laying on of hands but prayer is always required to receive.Sometimes it was necessary to lay hands for people to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Peter and John had to lay their hands on and pray for the people in Samaria for them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 8:17)God has already given the Holy Spirit. Simply receive Him by faith. Be confident that if you are indeed born of God, when you come to Christ to be baptized of the Holy Spirit you will not receive another spirit but the Holy Spirit.(Luke 11:13)
Be blessed, my friend.

Intimacy With The Holy Spirit

What is Intimacy With The Holy Spirit?

To be intimate with the Holy Spirit means to be in involved in a warm friendship or a personal closeness to the Holy Spirit.Intimacy (a true agape-love relationship) with the Holy Spirit, comes with a price tag particularly, discipline, diligence, dedication and commitment in reading studying and meditating on the Word Of God, loving God and people genuinely. You must also create an atmosphere of prayer, worship praise and thanksgiving for Him to manifest Himself boundlessly. He will infinitely occupy every space with His glorious priceless presence.Oh what a sweet spiritual experience that is!

How To Develop Intimacy With The Holy Spirit

1. Read, study, meditate and act on God's Word day and night
Meditation on God’s word is of great significance to a believer’s life. It is accomplished by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. Meditation connects a believer to revelation, which is a bridge or an access to the mind and secrets of God. Without meditation on God’s word a believer may never fulfill his divine destiny, he will remain spiritually empty and unfulfilled. A believer must meditate on God’s word to wield power and victory in life.(Joshua 1:8).When one hungers for God's vibrant Word more than natural foods, one enters into a place of  unstoppable victory in life. Job considered God's Word more paramount than natural food. This is one of the reasons he got God's backing in life. ( Job 23:12)

2. Be Spiritually minded in Agape Love
A spiritually minded believer is one having the "Agape Love"mind set on spiritual things : filled with holy desires and purposes. He attracts the presence of the Precious Holy Spirit. Life in the spirit is only made possible by the Holy Spirit's help. A spiritual mind always attracts the peace and life of God-always. (Romans 8:6) When a believer is not spiritually minded he becomes a carnal, not spiritual; merely human; temporal; worldly: a man of secular, rather carnal, leanings and a sure breeding ground for the devil and his tricks. Learn to be spiritual minded by feeding consistently and continuously on God's Holy Word and consistent prayer.

3. Create and spend time with Him in prayer
Prayer is a covenant relationship with God. It is not just speaking, it is communing and fellowshipping with God in love. Without prayer, Christians are unable to have a two-way communication with God. It is like talking on the telephone with God on the other end of the line, but this time there is no hold key because God never puts you on hold. For prayer to be effective, it must involve both speaking and listening. You talk to God, you listen to Him talk to you and you obey whatever He tells you to do. Prayer maintains a supernatural bridge between heaven and earth. It is enforcing the will of God upon the earth. It is a powerful weapon of spiritual warfare, a great privilege for the believer. It is pouring out your soul before the Lord like  Hannah who poured out her soul before the Lord at Shiloh and received answers to her prayer. (1 Sam. 1:15)Prayer is spiritual work with great rewards and bountiful blessings. It requires time, commitment, sacrifice and discipline. You will never find time for prayer; you must make time to pray.Prayer transports the believer into the divine supernatural for exploits. It is one sure way of staying divinely connected to God.We must pray because Jesus commands us to pray and it is the only way we can enforce the kingdom of God on the earth. Christ’s life was filled with prayer. (Mark 1:35)Just like oxygen is necessary in your breath to keep you alive, prayer is necessary to keep your spirit man alive and connected to God's Spirit and power. If you don't pray you will lack spiritual energy power and strength.A believer who does not pray will become spiritually powerless and a cheap prey for the devil. If you truly desire to grow into His likeness, you must spend time with Him daily in prayer.

4. Create a lifestyle of true worship in spiritual songs to Him
One of the key ways of quickly attracting God's sovereign presence is through singing songs of "worth-ship" to Him from your heart(spirit.) Only heart felt worship produce results. (Ephesians 5:19)All worship must come from the spirit(the heart) to be powerfully effective. It must come from a pure motive of true love to the Father God. A believer must learn to open his heart and mouth  to worship God in private, and in public throughout the week and not only at Sunday service. You should not become all religious on Sundays alone then do your own thing all week long. God deserves a lifetime of our worship.Worshipping God is another dimension of prayer that moves the believer into God’s presence. It maintains intimacy and deep connection to God. It is giving back to God all His 'worth-ship'. Everyone can praise God, but not everyone can worship God. While true worship is doing the will of God from a heart free of ulterior motives, worshipping God in songs is a catalyst for God's will to be done.Worship is a place of strength, victory, power, and refreshing. It transmits joy and peace into the life of a believer. It helps a believer to fulfill his divine destiny. When you worship God, he opens the deep treasures of his divine secrets to you. Strength for each day and circumstance comes with a lifestyle of worship to God. In the spirit realm a worshipper is as bold as a lion. The more you worship God in songs, the more  you receive spiritual strength and clarity of purpose in life.Learn to worship God.

5. Create a lifestyle of praise and thankfulness at all times
Praise and thanksgiving from a genuine heart of holiness and righteousness brings God on the scene. Praise becomes paralyzed if you have bitterness, unforgiveness, or any works of the flesh  in your heart. If God must fight for you through praises you must offer praises from a genuine heart devoid of evil motives and agenda. (Psalm 22:3) Praise and thanksgiving is a major spiritual weapon against Satan and his demons. Praise silences the raging of the enemy when it comes. (Psalm 8:2)You must depend on God Almighty to help you fight battles of life through praise and thanksgiving as you rest confidently on the finished work of Christ on the cross.(Psalm 46:10) As you remain intimate with the Holy Spirit He will take you to the topmost top of your life.

Be blessed my friend.

The Anointing

The anointing is simply the supernatural power of God(power of the Holy Spirit) made available for a specific task or assignment in the kingdom of God. In It is God’s enablement for service. God does not use a man unless He first anoints him. The anointing proceeds from the divine supernatural. Jesus is the anointing and the Anointed One who proceeds from the Father. It is vital to recognize the anointing when He manifests. The Holy Spirit is the executor of the anointing in the body of Christ. Outside of the Holy Spirit, it becomes magic and occultism. Without the anointing of the Holy Spirit, a believer cannot display God’s power in the kingdom of God on the earth.A right heart attitude will bring the anointing. Meaning, if one's heart is right the anointing will manifest. The woman with the issue of blood said, in her heart, “if I could touch the hem of his garment, I will be healed.” Her right heart attitude released the anointing from Jesus.(Matthew 9:21)

When the anointing is manifested
1.At salvation
At the point of salvation the anointing of God enters the believer, filling him with joy and  to help him live a victorious Christian life.
2.During Word reading, study and meditation
When one is reading, studying or meditating on the Word of God, the anointing is manifested.
3.When preaching
The anointing is manifested when preaching the Word especially when the preacher is yielded to God with a humble heart and preaches the Word of God with faith in his heart.
4.During prayer and fasting.
With a contrite and broken spirit the anointing often manifests.
5.During praise and worship
When believers praise and worship in spirit and in truth with unity of heart, the anointing falls.
6.During operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
When a person is operating in the word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discernment of spirits and other gifts, the anointing is manifested.
7.During giving of testimony the anointing is manifested.
8.Walking in obedience to the will of God in thoughts, words, and deeds allows the anointing to manifest.
9.During fellowship of believers together in love, faith and unity of purpose the anointing is manifested.

The anointing gives power for:
1.Success in ministry of God’s work
2.Work with the ministry gifts in the body of Christ
3.Victory over human failure
4.Power and authority over the devil and his angels-The weakest believer has more power in his life than all the powers of hell. When one is anointed, God gives him authority over every devil.
5.Breaking bondage and yokes-through the anointing the enemies in the lives of believers are destroyed.
6.Transformation of a weakling into a man of strength, changing a timid fearful man into a man of boldness
7.The anointing results in God's mercy and favor manifesting in one's life.(Psalm 89:28)
8.Transformation of uneducated men into highly respected and honored men.A man without education with the anointing will accomplish much more than an intellectual with many degrees who does not have it. The anointing changes a man’s speech and gives a man charisma. Peter and John were only able to speak the Word of God with boldness when the Holy Spirit came upon them by the anointing.(Acts 4:31)

The Office Of The Holy Spirit

The office of the Holy Spirit is infinite, multidimensional diverse and inexhaustible. He provides wisdom, strength, sanctification, riches, honor blessings and other necessities for the body of Christ.(Romans 11:33-36)Insensitivity to the office or ministry of the Holy Spirit has robbed many believers of many blessings. Many believe the Holy Spirit is sent so that one can speak in tongues or just to make one feel good. Many believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is in the church gathering alone and fail to acknowledge Him in interpersonal, socioeconomic and day to day operation in the life of a believer. It is important to be aware of the infinite ministry of the Holy Spirit so that one can reach his highest potential in life. The office of the Holy Spirit cannot be limited.

1.The salvation of souls
The first major and vital work of the Holy Spirit is the salvation of souls. As the Holy Spirit comes upon a person, the spiritual veil which the devil has put on the person's heart is torn off so that the Word of God(Light) can gain entrance into the heart.(2 Corinthians 3:15-18)When Jesus stands at the door knocking, it is the Holy Spirit who opens the door of the heart to receive Christ.Once the person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit forms Jesus Christ compactly in his heart(Gal.4:19) and empowers him to have the mind of Christ.(1 Corinthians 2:16).After this, the person is helped to grow in Christ by the guidance of the Holy Spirit not tossed about by every whim and whiles of the devil. The Salvation of the soul is often followed by confidence and peace of mind placed in the heart of man by the Holy Spirit.(Romans 15:13)

2.Evangelism-Soul Winning
This is the sole work of the Holy Spirit since no one will get results without the Him.Converting sinners to Christ is not by wisdom or strength of any man, but by  God's Spirit as no amount of enticing words can change a man's heart. When Paul planned to evangelize Asia he was forbidden by the Holy Ghost(Acts 16:6-10)because he had not yet received power from God. Power and authority are necessary to go out and preach the gospel so as to keep one safe from demonic activity which may hinder the work. From the life of Phillip, we know that the Holy Spirit is indispensable in preaching the gospel.(Acts 8:26-28)Without the Holy Spirit, one will be sheepish and cowardly and not be bold enough to go out to evangelize.(Acts 1:8) The Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for the work of evangelism, there should be no question about this.

3.Understanding Scriptures
It is the Holy Spirit who reveals the scriptures to believers by divine light without which one will be totally blind and lack understanding of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is the one who inspires the writing of the scriptures.(2 Tim.3:16-17) therefore He must be consulted before reading studying or meditating on scriptures, for wisdom, understanding light, and clarity.Without the Holy Spirit's guidance, no one will ever be able to understand the scriptures, because the scriptures are spirit.(John 6:63)

4.Prayer and intercession
The Holy Spirit helps the believer in the ministry of prayer and intercession. One must make Him a friend and prayer partner to be effective and fruitful in his prayer life. (Romans 8:26-27)No one should attempt to pray without the presence of the Holy Spirit because it will lead to frustration. Learn to ask the Holy Spirit for help in prayer, supplication, and intercession.

5.Praise and worship in spiritual songs
Worship of God in spiritual songs is one of the many ways to attract God's presence. Again, this is the sole work of the Holy Spirit. As one opens his mouth to sing and worship in a genuineness of heart, the Holy Spirit floods his heart with His manifest presence and power. God inhabits the praises of His people.(Acts 16:25-26,Psalm 22:3,Psalm 149:5-9,Hebrews 2:12)Singing worship songs is a powerful way of sweet communion with the Holy Spirit and also one of the quickest ways of receiving God's attention and secrets.

6.Safety, Security, and Protection
The Holy Spirit protects believers in Christ from satanic activities. Without His help, believers will be wide open to the attack of the devil and his agents. When people plan to harm us physically or spiritually, we are delivered, by the Holy Spirit who shelters us by providing safety, security, preservation, protection, insurance, and conservation.

7.Fruitfulness in life and ministry
The  Holy Spirit helps the believer to bear fruits of the Spirit so that Jesus' character begins to manifest in him. This sets apart one believer from another.(Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Timothy 4:12).
When the fruits of the Spirit is operating in a believer, it shows in the way he thinks, speaks and acts. This ultimately affects how he turns out in life.

8.Spiritual Gifts and Ministries
The Holy Spirit is the one who distributes spiritual gifts to believers so as to equip them properly for the offices or assignments given to them. All operation of the gifts of the Spirit must be surrendered to the power of the Spirit of God so as to fulfill divine plans.God does not call into an office without first equipping adequately for it (Ephesians 4:11-131 Corinthians 12:1-11,28; Romans 12:6-8;)Believers must test every spiritual gifts and administration to make sure that they are of God because not all spirits are of God.(John 6:63).

    Be blessed,my friend.

Who Is The Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is God personified on the earth, a divine spiritual personality. He is God in three persons God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is not a force, energy or an imaginary entity as some people believe. He enters into the believer's spirit (heart) at the point of salvation, resides there and gives him the ability to live a winning Christian life. He convicts the world of sin, gets people saved and helps the saved person with His seal unto eternity.

He floods the human spirit with His Spirit so that one can know Him and love Him and others as commanded. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5

He indwells God's Word and enlightens and illuminates man's spiritual eyes to the Word of God. Without the Holy Spirit in a believer, he will be totally blind to the truth of the Scriptures. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119:18

He is a Guide, a Helper, a Comforter, an Advocate, a Judge, a Teacher, and a Friend to every believer in Jesus Christ who will trust in Him. He endows the believer with spiritual power and authority to be a faithful, diligent and effective witness for Christ. Without Him, one will be a weak and beggarly Christian cowering at every craftiness and whiles of the devil.

The Holy Spirit is the executor of spiritual power and giver of gifts to believers in the body of Christ. He is the Anointing. He is the strength, wisdom, and glory of a genuine born again Child of God.One must have a genuine relationship with Him if one is to be strong in the Lord. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10

     Be blessed, my friend.

The 3 Dimensional Nature Of Man | His Body

Man’s body, or the flesh, is a complex physical creation by which a person relates to this physical material world and to other people in the world. It is the part with which man communicates with the physical natural realm.

The body does not have the ability to know or relate with God, nor will it ever be. The flesh is God’s enemy because it always opposes God. Every person's body has a unique DNA code, which exists in every cell of the body to program that person’s unique growth, development and behavior. The flesh goes back to dust at death just like God said.In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.Genesis 3:19

Watchman Nee describes the flesh in his book-pg 78-79,The Spiritual Man-"Although the flesh is exceedingly strong in sinning and following selfish desire it is extremely weak towards the will of God. Unregenerated man is powerless to fulfill any of God’s will, being “weakened by the flesh.” And the flesh is even “hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, indeed it cannot” (Rom. 8.3, 7). This however does not imply that the flesh totally disregards the things of God. The fleshly sometimes do exert their utmost strength to observe the law. The Bible moreover never treats the fleshly as synonymous with the law-breakers. It merely concludes that “by works of the law shall no flesh be justified” (Gal. 2.16 ASV). For the fleshly not to keep the law is certainly nothing unusual. It simply proves they are of the flesh. But now that God has ordained that man shall not be justified by works of law but by faith in the Lord Jesus (Rom. 3.28), those who attempt to follow the law only disclose their disobedience to God, seeking to establish their own righteousness in lieu of God’s righteousness (Rom. 10.3). It reveals further that they belong to the The Flesh and Salvation 79 flesh. To sum up, “those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Rom. 8.8), and this “cannot” seals the fate of the fleshly.

"God looks upon the flesh as utterly corrupt. So closely is it linked with lust that the Bible often refers to “the lusts of the flesh” (2 Peter 2.18 Darby). Great though His power, God nonetheless cannot transform the nature of the flesh into something pleasing to Himself. God Himself declares: “My spirit shall not always strive in man forever, for he is flesh” (Gen. 6.3 Young’s). The corruption of the flesh is such that even the Holy Spirit of God cannot by striving against the flesh render it unfleshly. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. Man unfortunately does not understand God’s Word and so he tries continually to refine and reform his flesh. Yet the Word of God stands forever. Due to its exceeding corruption, God warns His saints to hate “even the garment spotted by the flesh” (Jude 23)."
Be blessed, my friend.

The 3 Dimensional Nature Of Man | His Soul

The mind or soul is the organ of thought which connects the brain and the body together in a unique manner. It is the meeting point between soul and body. It acts as a filter of sorts and allows communication from the spirit to the body and vice versa. The soul, or the mind, includes the brain, the conscious and subconscious minds, the realm of thought, emotions, reasoning, wisdom, cleverness, will, and intellect. Through it a man is equipped to know, think, imagine, remember, and understand.
Watchman Nee describes the soul in his book-pg 154,The Spiritual Man-"When we say the soul is the natural life of man we mean it is the power which preserves us alive in the flesh. Our soul is our life. The original word employed in Genesis 1.21,24 for “living creature(s)” is “soul” because this soul is the life human beings and other living creatures share in common. This is the power we naturally possess and by which we live before our regeneration; it is the life which every man has. The Greek lexicon gives the original meaning of psuche as “animal life”; so that soul life is what makes man a living creature. It belongs to the natural. Though the soul life may not necessarily be evil—since many sins have been overcome by believers through their old man being crucified with Christ—yet it remains natural. It is the life of man; hence it is most human. It makes man a perfectly human being. Perhaps it is good, loving and humble. Nonetheless, it is but human."

The mind or soul is not regenerated at new birth (regeneration), therefore it must be renewed daily and consistently by the Word of God and prayer to be empowered to know God’s perfect will. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.. Romans 12:2

The mind or soul is an essential part of life because it easily influences crucial decisions and actions. It constitutes a battlefield where Satan and his evil spirits contend against the truth of God’s Word and against the believer.  God lives in man's spirit and communicates divine will into man's spirit from where it is transmitted to the soul and subsequently to the body for action.

The 3 Dimensional Nature Of Man | His Spirit

Man is fundamentally a spirit being created to commune primarily with God.The spirit of man is the part with which he communicates with God and the spiritual realm. Man's spirit is also referred to as the inner man, the heart, or the spirit man.
It is made of a spiritual material that cannot be seen with the naked eyes unless God allows it to be seen through the spiritual eyes.Man's spirit is created by God to keep his body and soul intact and alive. Without the spirit, the body would be dead.

It is the spirit of man that receives the breath of God at new creation (new birth, regeneration) and is then given the ability to worship, fellowship, and communicate with God. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 According to Dakes Commentary of the Bible (Dakes Annotated Reference Bible) “God is a Spirit Being, not the sun, moon, stars; nor an image of wood, stone, or metal; and not beast or man. He is not the air, wind, universal mind, love or some impersonal quality. He is a person with a personal spirit body, a personal soul and a personal spirit like that of angels, and like that of a man except His body is of spirit substance instead of flesh and bones (Job 13:8; Heb.1: 3)”

The spirit is the actual man, not the flesh or the body. It is the seat of God’s wisdom. This is the place where God lives and moves in man. Before salvation the spirit of man is dead. The body without the spirit is dead. (James 2:26a) At salvation, it is made to come alive (quickened) by the Spirit of God and born anew like a baby and must feed on God’s Word to grow to be able to know God. Just like a child must grow, so must the new believer grow in his spirit to be able to comprehend the things of God.

The ultimate task of the spirit man is to KNOW God, by feeding on God's Word constantly and consistently. If the spirit does not feed on the Word of God, it remains a baby, weak and beggarly, battered by the forces of hell and unable to receive knowledge wisdom and understanding of God. Man's spirit must feed on God’s Word to remain sound and strong in faith and be able to resist the devil and the powers of darkness. It is through his spirit that man is able to perceive the difference between the truth of God's Word and the deceptive lies of the devil.
Be blessed,my friend.
